Process-based Paintings 2016 Number 01 - 05

As an artist I am naturally interested in painting. The main focus of my practice is not a particular medium such as painting, video or performance but rather the overall development of ideas/concepts as well as approaches/modes of showing & displaying art within a political or a purely theoretical context. Story telling and the collection of material (archaeological aspect) are fundamental in my work.

The paintings on this page are process-based, i.e. have been made over several days, months or even years. The focus lies in the creative process and in the exploration & development of painting. As a result the work does not correspond with the idea of a traditional painting. My approach and the material I am using however are the same with painting.
